About Us

A Community Rooted in Language and Connection

Español en San José was founded on a simple belief: language is the bridge between people, and every person deserves a patient guide across it. Located in the heart of Ironton, we've helped hundreds of students find their voice — whether that's in Spanish or English.

Our approach is personal. We know that learning a new language can feel intimidating, which is why every class and every tutoring session is designed around you — your goals, your schedule, and the reasons you picked up this journey in the first place.

Student Stories

Hear From Our Community

"I was nervous about taking the driving test in English. After just a few sessions here, I felt ready — and I passed on my first try. They made the road signs and rules actually make sense."

Maria G.

Driving English Student

"I've tried learning Spanish on my own with apps, but nothing stuck until I came here. The private lessons gave me the structure I needed, and now I can hold a real conversation with my coworkers."

James T.

Private Tutoring Student

"The group classes are fun and relaxed — no pressure, just real practice. I've been coming for months and my family is already noticing the difference. My daughter even practices Spanish with me now!"
